A day before Paul Ryan and Joe Biden are scheduled to debate in Kentucky, Democratic supporters are looking to remind voters of the legislative connections between the Republican vice presidential nominee and Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akin.

“Remember this?” asks a new web video from American Bridge, before showing a highlight reel of the days after Akin’s Aug. 19 “legitimate rape” comments, which quickly led reporters to Ryan. Both men share the belief that abortion should be illegal even in the case of rape, though Ryan has said his personal views will take a backseat to Mitt Romney’s stance that rape victims should have the right to an abortion in a Romney White House.

The video comes as Democrats are harping on Romney’s Tuesday comments about abortion, where he said new abortion restrictions are not on his agenda. Abortion-rights advocates say Romney is flip-flopping, citing his previous promises to appoint anti-abortion Supreme Court justices and use an executive order to ban federal funding to global family planning groups who promote access to abortion.
