Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s son Lance has been arrested on a probation violation, Las Vegas police said Tuesday.
Las Vegas Police spokesman Larry Hadfield said in a statement that Cliven Lance Bundy had been taken into custody Monday on outstanding warrants for contempt and violating the terms of his probation, according to Reuters.
Reuters reported that Bundy had been sentenced to five years probation after pleading guilty to theft of a firearm and burglary last year. A contempt-of-court warrant was then issued in Bundy’s name on July 8, after he failed to appear at a court hearing related to his felony conviction on burglary and weapons charges.
Bundy had told the Associated Press that he was undergoing surgery to address nerve pain on the day of the missed hearing.
