Rep. Charlie Dent (R-PA) said Saturday on MSNBC’s “Up With Steve Kornacki” that he doubts Mitt Romney can win the presidency, as the most recent Republican nominee makes moves toward another run in 2016.
“The third time is not a charm,” Dent said. “And as much respect and admiration as I have for Governor Romney I’m not one of those who is encouraging him to enter the race right now. Again, I just don’t think there’s much to be gained by a third kick here. I don’t think it’ll work out for him.”
Dent represents a swing district in Pennsylvania and has sometimes clashed with the more conservative elements in his party.
More capable candidates than Mittens (Gore and Kerry for two) who have lost knew their hour on the stage to strut and fret was up. It’ll be drip drip from now on, and it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy…
I wonder what Nicki Minaj has to say about this. Oh wait…
Running for president seems to be Mittens’ part-time job in retirement. Guess with his money, he can’t be a greeter at Walmart.
He doesn’t have the personality to be a greeter at WalMart.
I wish people would stop discouraging Mittens. Let him run. It will be entertaining watching him and Jeb go after each other while the clown car nibbles at their feet. (And Chris Christie nibbles at the bagels on the green room tables.)
