The conservative website The Drudge Report on Friday mocked the announcement of House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-OH) resignation as “one last cry.”

Here’s a screenshot of the splash:

Boehner, who’s known to get emotional in public, wiped tears from his eyes Thursday after Pope Francis’ joint address to Congress and cried after the pontiff addressed the public from the speaker’s balcony. Boehner had extended the invitation to Pope Francis to speak to Congress.

  4. Republicans have truly become the most crass and dishonorable group of people I have ever seen. Don’t get me wrong. I’m no fan of Boehner’s, but it used to be that conservatives were recognized as polite and considerate and the liberals were crazy revolutionaries … my how the times have changed.
