The Riverside County, Calif. sheriff’s department found a body believed to be the suspect in multiple shootings in California, NBC Southern California reported.
Authorities were searching for a suspect who was wearing body armor and carrying an AR-15 who they believed was responsible for shooting a deputy. Investigators also believed the same shooter may have been linked to two other deaths in the area.
Deputies are still investigating, according to the NBC affiliate.
We are currently in the process of recovering the body. No positive ID yet, we believe there are no more outstanding suspects.
