Freshly-minted presidential candidate and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley had to raise his voice above the sounds of #BlackLivesMatter protestors during his campaign launch on Saturday.

Several reporters on the scene tweeted out images of the activists, who interrupted and heckled O’Malley’s announcement in order to draw attention to the situation in Baltimore, the site of much unrest throughout the month of April.
