Freshly-minted presidential candidate and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley had to raise his voice above the sounds of #BlackLivesMatter protestors during his campaign launch on Saturday.
Several reporters on the scene tweeted out images of the activists, who interrupted and heckled O’Malley’s announcement in order to draw attention to the situation in Baltimore, the site of much unrest throughout the month of April.

Pretty stupid thing to do. None of the GOP’er candidates give a rats ass about Black Lives including the Black GOP’er candidates. But if they work hard at killing the Democrats perhaps they can enjoy a President Cruz or Huckabee.

¨About 50,000 people were arrested last year in Baltimore, compared with 100,000 in 2005 under O’Malley.
So far this year, only about 500 people have been arrested without charges, compared with more than 20,000 in 2005.¨
Apparently, O’Malley was big on rounding up young black males, so the criticism has some basis in fact. To keep the 100K arrests in context, there are only 600K residents of Baltimore.
