Rep. Barbara Comstock’s (R-VA) campaign has donated $3,000 the congresswoman received from Donald Trump, her campaign said on Monday.

The news was first reported by the Winchester Star and confirmed by the Washington Post. Comstock received the donation from Trump in 2014 and donated it “weeks ago,” according to the Washington Post.

Comstock’s campaign donated the money to two groups that help wounded veterans, the Boulder Crest and Bull Run Warrior retreats, according to the Post.

The Post noted that Comstock has been critical of Trump. In December, she called his proposal to ban Muslims from the United States “un-American” and “unconstitutional.”

  1. Jonathan Alter is a careful man. Yesterday, Alter declared Trump “damaged goods”.

But the MSM is still making money off of Trump. Until that is no longer a corporate strategy, Trump is a cash cow.

Just like a top-rated TV show.

  2. Another exquisitely difficult moral dilemma, neatly finessed by a career Republican. Prediction: she’ll endorse him in September.

  3. Pretty smart move. Good staff work. Surely NOT a Republican with a conscience AND a brain? Nah!
