An adviser to Donald Trump on veterans issues said Tuesday that Hillary Clinton should be put on the firing line and be “shot for treason” over the Benghazi terror attacks.

New Hampshire state Rep. Al Baldasaro, who is also a delegate for Trump from the Granite State, said in an interview on WRKO’s “The Jeff Kuhner Show” first flagged by BuzzFeed News, Baldasaro noted that he is a veteran, as is his son. He compared Clinton to the “Jane Fonda of the Vietnam War” before labelled her a “disgrace” for the way she responded to the Benghazi attacks and spoke to families of the victims as secretary of state.

“This whole thing disgusts me, Hillary Clinton should be put in the firing line and shot for treason,” he declared.

Trump’s campaign spokeswoman told NH1 News that Baldasaro didn’t speak for the campaign.

“We’re incredibly grateful for his support, but we don’t agree with his comments,” spokeswoman Hope Hicks said.

Clinton’s response to the Benghazi attacks was rehashed by several speakers Monday night at the Republican National Convention.
