The Paris prosecutor’s office said early Thursday that one suspect in the deadly attack on satirical French newspaper Charlie Hebdo’s offices had surrendered to police, the Associated Press reported.

18-year-old Mourad Hamyd turned himself in at a police station in the eastern region of France after learning that his name had been published in connection with the attacks, according to Paris prosecutor’s spokeswoman Agnes Thibault-Lecuivre. She didn’t elaborate on his relationship with the other suspects.

Those suspects, Cherif Kouachi and his brother Said (both pictured), remained at large Thursday. Police said in a bulletin that the two should be considered “armed and dangerous,” according to the AP.

The news agency reported that Cherif Kouachi had a prior terrorism conviction for his involvement in sending radical fighters to Iraq.

NBC News had reported Wednesday that one of the suspects in the attack on Charlie Hebdo, which left twelve people dead, had been killed. That report cited anonymous U.S. officials.
