TPM is changing its sign in system for commenting on April 2, which means your old username will be invalid. This change is a move to a much more secure and seamless login process, which will end all of the issues you’ve experienced in recent weeks regarding signing in, changing your avatar, etc.

More after the jump.

If you have not yet registered for our new system, please do so here.

We apologize for the inconvenience of having to re-register, but we assure you that this is absolutely necessary to make this switch. Also of note, we have gotten rid of OpenID in an effort to prevent the creation of false accounts and trolls.

Please note that nothing about our privacy policy is changing–we will continue to respect your privacy and will not take any data from your registration. TPM will only store your method of signing in, and a username and icon of your choice. Nothing more.

We appreciate your contributions to TPM over the years and are grateful to have such a vibrant and loyal commenting community.

*Reminder: As of April 2, your old username will be invalid.*
