I wanted to give everyone an update on the site issues we were having this morning. Joing me after the jump.
When we moved over to our new platform this morning we had two unexpected issues. First, we had some unexpected performance issues that led to site slowness and a number of pages generating errors. That was cleared up at around 2 PM eastern. You should now be seeing relatively fast page loads. The new system will actually allow for considerably faster page loads. For now, we’re just focused on keeping everything stable while we do a little retooling in the background.
Second, we had issues tied to comments either not showing up or new registrants being asked to sign in to comment even though they already appeared to be signed in. We believe we’ve isolated this problem and should have a fix shortly.
For Prime members, fixing the problems noted above has briefly delayed moving The Hive to the new site. We hope to have that completed this evening.
