As we’ve seen in various parts of the world over the years, factional fighting often erupts in the nomenklatura as regime collapse nears, of course. Tonight, Megyn Kelly ripped into Donald Trump for refusing to emerge from media safe spaces like the Sean Hannity show.
Said Kelly: “Donald Trump, with all due respect to my friend at 10:00, will go on Hannity and pretty much only Hannity and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days, which doesn’t exactly expand the tent.”
Hannity’s show is now close to the only show Trump will appear on, with the semi-exception of O’Reilly. Hannity has rebranded himself an imbecile Boswell to Trump’s semi-literate Dr Johnson. But we should also note that Kelly is apparently testing the waters for a possible jump to a competitor network. To make that credible she needs to demonstrate some level of independence from the Fox News line. So she also has angles in play beyond journalism. But just a few minutes ago, Hannity responded to Kelly on Twitter, accusing her of supporting Hillary Clinton.
@megynkelly u should be mad at @HillaryClinton Clearly you support her. And @realDonaldTrump did talk to u. https://t.co/vsQiNMgHut

I suspect we’ll learn that Ailes was the rancid glue that held that operation together.
