MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is scheduled to have a private meeting with British Prime Minister David Cameron.

Downing Street confirmed the meeting would take place on Tuesday. Walker is leading a coalition of Wisconsin government and business officials on a trade mission that runs until Friday.

The trip gives Walker a chance to bolster his overseas and foreign policy credentials as he considers running for president in 2016. He is scheduled to give a public speech Wednesday about the global economy at the prestigious Chatham House think tank.

Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie also met with Cameron last week during his visit to London.

This visit to London is Walker’s third overseas trade-related trip since he became governor in 2011. He’s also been to China and Japan.

  1. Hey, Wisconsin! This has nothing to do with you! Sneaky Scotty wants to look like he’s Presidential material. After he returns from Britain, he’ll go back to screwing over Wisconsin citizens.

  2. Too bad there’s no chance to get the Dairy State Brownshirt in Parliament to face question time.

  3. Will Walker join Cameron in calling on employers to raise wages? Just think, if they actually did that there would be no need for the “heavy hand of government”. We wouldn’t even have to “create good jobs”, something Walker has no idea how to actually do, rather than just talking about it, and would take years even if he did. It’s quicker and easier to take existing jobs, raise wages and make them better.

  4. “Hey, U.S. Colony known as Britian, I can help you screw over your folks more easily if I’m prez.”

  5. Scott Walker has a real “boner” for the Presidency, and so do some media types (hypes?) who have deemed him the front runner. Alas, boners too fade with time…
