This Week: Trump Administration Loses In Federal Court

The week in impeachment The initial wave of public hearings is over, but the drip-drip of impeachment related news did not come to a standstill this week. Here’s a rundown of developments you need to know: Inquiry hand-off: House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D-CA) informed his colleagues on Monday that the impeachment inquiry would soon be tossed over to the Judiciary Committee. Schiff indicated that a report on his committee’s findings would be sent to Judiciary Committee Chair Jerry Nadler (D-NY) after the Thanksgiving recess. In a letter on Tuesday, Nadler invited President Trump and his counsel to attend its upcoming impeachment hearing, which will take place on Dec. 4. Nadler indicated that Trump’s lawyers would have the opportunity to question witnesses, but, as Politico Playbook reported Wednesday, the President’s legal team is unlikely to show.
