Impeachment and the coronavirus? While the Trump administration’s ham-handed response to the outbreak has dominated the news this week, there’s at least one member of the Trump administration talking about impeachment. During an appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday, acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney tied coverage of impeachment to the coronavirus. He claimed that the media has been overly hyping the spread of the disease because its reporting on President Trump’s impeachment — which he referred to as a “hoax” — failed to damage Trump’s reputation.
