Wednesday’s inauguration will bring an end to President Trump’s flailing effort to overturn the election. His gambits never stood a real chance of reversing the results, but they did tremendous damage to voter confidence and resulted in a violent mob on the Capitol that took the lives of a police officer and several Trump supporters.
