A new look at the work of GOP gerrymandering mastermind: The estranged daughter of the late GOP gerrymandering expert Thomas Hofeller published the documents she found on his back-up hard drives. Already, the files have upended the litigation over the census citizenship question, and were pivotal in major redistricting cases in North Carolina. NPR reports on Stephanie Hofeller’s reasons for publishing the materials, which Republicans fought to keep sealed. Here is the cache of documents themselves.
