I wrote earlier that Trump’s State of the Union was definitely wall-heavy, and filled with his usual anti-immigrant rhetoric. But it lacked any indication that he was going to shut down the government again if Congress refuses to fund the wall, nor did it contain specifics on the type of immigration agreement — a topic currently being hashed out by a bipartisan, bicameral congressional conference committee — he would sign.
