The death of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday at age 70 after battling lung cancer reminded us here at TPM of his role in being a driving force behind the rightward shift of the Republican Party electorate that arguably boosted former President Trump’s conspiracy-ridden and grievance-based political career.
