A lawyer’s assertion to TPM last month that many defendants in Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection case were “fucking short-bus people” is still making waves in federal court, with a federal prosecutor arguing Monday that the comments ought not be grounds for splitting up a case involving multiple defendants.
