Before finally deciding to bow out of President Trump’s Cabinet, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke churned out Golden Duke-level scandals at an impressive rate.
One such shady episode was his suspicious real estate deal with Halliburton Chairman David Lesar, which as I wrote back in August, emits a “$50-a-night condo stench.” In October, the deal became the subject of a potential Justice Department criminal probe into Zinke’s activity, an investigation that continues to loom despite Zinke’s upcoming resignation.
