The Federalist, a conservative news website, has a write-up about what appears to be a soon-to-be-released New York Times story on Brett Kavanaugh. It’s a little hard to tell what’s going on here, but it seems the Times’ inquiries while reporting tipped off Kavanaugh’s allies that the story was coming and they, in turn, alerted the Federalist, which wrote a story attempting to get out ahead of and downplay the Times’ report.
