I want to flag this column by Harry Litman in The Washington Post. Litman games out what yesterday’s revelations about presidential pardons may tell us about Paul Manafort’s role in the Trump-Russia scandal. This is a key, I think central, question. But we should not rule out the possibility that Manafort faces a more complicated set of variables in which threats to his life figure along with the threat of jail and the chance Trump might save him from the whole drama with a pardon.
