Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) is holding onto second place in New Hampshire’s Republican primary contest, according to an American Research Group poll released Tuesday, while real-estate magnate Donald Trump continues to hold a comfortable lead.

The poll showed support for Trump at 31 percent, while Kasich came in at 17 percent. Third place went to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), whose support stood at 12 percent.

Trump’s lead over Kasich actually has increased since the ARG poll earlier this month, in which Trump stood at 27 percent to Kasich’s 20 percent. But these results are inconsistent with virtually all other New Hampshire polls, which have shown a variety of candidates, such as Cruz or Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), in second place.

The ARG poll was conducted Jan. 23-25 using live phone interviews to survey 600 likely Republican primary voters. It had a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
