Outgoing President Donald Trump’s egotism was on full display at his farewell ceremony at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland before his departure to Florida on Wednesday.

After receiving a gun salute, Trump took the stage with first lady Melania Trump and addressed a crowd of his supporters in a self-congratulatory final speech.

“What we’ve done has been amazing by any standard,” he declared.

Trump proceeded to brag about his tax cuts, Space Force, and the hundreds of judges he stuffed into the courts at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) urging.

He acknowledged the COVID-19 pandemic, which has now killed more than 400,000 Americans, by claiming his administration had achieved a “medical miracle” with vaccine despite having utterly botched the distribution of the vaccine and falling well short of their promise to have 20 million people vaccinated by the end of 2020.

At one point, Trump took a moment to bask in his supporters’ cheers of “Thank you, Trump! Thank you, Trump!”

“I will always fight for you,” he told the crowd. “I will be watching. I will be listening, and I will tell you that the future of this country has never been better.”

Trump wished the new Biden administration “great luck and great success,” though he did not mentioned his successor by name once during his remarks.

He concluded the speech by bidding his supporters farewell.

“Have a good life. We will see you soon,” the ex-president said before strolling down a red carpet to the tune of “YMCA” to embark upon Air Force One for the last time.
