Trump Denies Miller Controls Immigration Agenda: ‘Only One Person’ Running It

April 10, 2019 10:27 a.m.

President Trump denied reports that his senior adviser Stephen Miller calls the shots when it comes to the administration’s immigration policy agenda.

“Steven is an excellent guy. He’s a wonderful person. People don’t know him. He’s been with me from the beginning,” he said. “He’s a brilliant man and, frankly, there’s only one person that is running it. You know who that is? It’s me.”

As more senior officials resign from the Department of Homeland Security, reports have surfaced suggesting Miller has been pushing Trump to fully embrace the senior adviser’s hardline immigration views.
