American Conservative Union chairman Matt Schlapp said Monday morning that President Donald Trump “absolutely” should feel some concern over the large and raucous crowd Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) drew over the weekend when she officially launched her presidential campaign.
“I think she’s a very impressive spokesperson for her cause,” Schlapp told CNN’s Alisyn Camerota. “I don’t think we should be confident or cocky about the 2020 election. I think the nation has remained divided as it was since, really starting, in 2006.”
“I think, you know, we ought to take these Democrats incredibly seriously,” he continued. “They have a lot of energy on their side.”
Recalling the 2018 elections, he said that “they picked up a lot of seats, mostly in urban areas, because their base is very, very excited. They are very enthused, and I think we have to watch that.”

Question for Harris enthusiasts.
You’re knocking on doors in the one of the states that must be flipped to win in 2020. You are armed with a list of voters who voted for Obama but not Hillary. An older white person answers the door. “I’m not a Trump fan,” she says, “but what’s so great about Harris?”
What do you say?
I think we will all know “what is so great about Harris” after she has a chance to tell us. At this point I am very reluctant to say I am supporting any of the candidates, but Harris has a lot going for her.
Harris still refuses to answer questions about what she and Bill Clinton discussed while in that plane together on the tarmac.*

Not just that – Spankee’s schtick is starting to get old and stale and boring. In another year, a whole lot more people are going to be saying “oh, geez, not again, I’m getting sick of hearing about this…”
And, clearly, the GOP, according to ol’ Ronna “I am not related to Mitt” Romney McWhatever, isn’t even willing to look at a plan B.
Matt Schlapp sounding the alarm in wingnutlandia to start running up her negatives.
