The residents of Tea Party Nation always come up with the most innovative solutions to America’s problems–bold ideas that would never come to the mind of your average, mediocrity-embracing sane-American. The latest comes from TP national Melissa Brookstone, who wants small businesses to stop hiring people until Obama’s “war” against their businesses and their country ends.
You can read her whole manifesto here, but the key issue identified by the TP national is that Obama and the “Democrat-controlled Senate” are a bunch of traitors who have joined up with Occupy Wall Street/a global socialist movement and various unnamed Hollywood celebrities to achieve the redistribution of wealth–an absurd and immoral goal on its face. The oath it asks business owners to take:
I, an American small business owner, part of the class that produces the vast majority of real, wealth producing jobs in this country, hereby resolve that I will not hire a single person until this war against business and my country is stopped.
I hereby declare that my job creation potential is now ceased.
“I’m on strike!”
Stop socialism by stopping capitalism. Makes total sense. I dare you to come up with a better idea.
