SNL: Sanford, Ensign And Edwards Criticize Media Coverage of Tiger Woods’ Affairs

Saturday Night Live opened Saturday’s show with a press conference staged by Gov.Mark Sanford (R-SC), Sen.John Ensign (R-NV), and former Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) to lambaste the media’s coverage of the Tiger Woods affair … for overshadowing coverage of their own affairs.“The three of us are here today because there’s something very wrong going on in this country, and we can no longer keep silent about it,” Sanford began. “Over the last two weeks our national media has engaged in an orgy of coverage of professional golfer Tiger Woods and his alleged extra-marital affairs. The coverage has been excessive, it has been lurid, and it has completely overshadowed coverage of our extra-marital affairs.”
