The 60 Plus Association has released a new ad that features senior citizens encouraging Congress to “start over and get health care right.”
The ad is part of a $500,000 campaign by the group, and targets 18 Democratic representatives.
Jim Martin, the Chairman of 60 Plus, said of the ad campaign:
With President Obama hosting a health care summit next week, we thought it appropriate to remind these members seniors won’t forget their betrayal. Cutting Medicare by half a trillion dollars and forcing seniors to bear the brunt of health care reform is not acceptable. These members have an opportunity to right a wrong, and you don’t get many do-overs in this business. It’s about time Democrats came out from behind closed doors and had a public debate about this all too important issue.
