Rosenstein To Trump: DOJ Doesn’t Make ‘Partisan Political Considerations’

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein briefly responded to President Donald Trump’s attacks against him during a news conference Thursday, saying that the Justice Department “operates under the rule of law” and that it makes its decisions “without regard to partisan political considerations.”

A reporter had asked the deputy attorney general about a retweet from the President showing Rosenstein behind bars, and about a more recent tweet from Trump calling his former lawyer and fixer, Michael Cohen, a “rat” for cooperating with prosecutors.

Lemme get this straight: the DOJ has a press conference announcing indictments against people associated with the Chinese government for hacking files on US Naval personnel and present are: the US Attorney for the Southern District, the head of the National Security Division, the head of the FBI, and…the Deputy Attorney General. Where’s the Attorney General!!! Is he even the Attorney General?
