The campaign of Rep. Chet Edwards (D-TX) released the following statement today announcing its fundraising numbers for the first quarter of 2010:
Today, the reelection campaign for Congressman Chet Edwards is announcing $1.76 million cash-on-hand as of March 31, 2010. This is a record sum for the campaign and is $475,900 more than the cash-on-hand reported at the same time during the 2008 cycle.
The campaign’s quarterly report filed with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) shows $593,522 raised in the quarter and $1,764,174 cash on hand. This makes the total raised for this election cycle a record $1,983,350.
“I am honored and humbled to receive such strong bipartisan support from a diverse group of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. My focus remains on working on a bipartisan basis to bring jobs and economic opportunity to the 17th District, fighting for our veterans and military families and improving the quality of life for individuals and families in our communities,” said Congressman Edwards.
