During an interview with the “Today” show Vice President Mike Pence confirmed that declaring a national emergency over President Trump’s border wall is an option on the table.
“What I expect the President will do tonight is explain to the American people that we have a humanitarian crisis at our southern border. … It simply is overwhelming the ability of our customs and border patrol to address it,” he said in an interview that aired Tuesday morning, adding that declaring a national emergency is “something (Trump’s) looking at and considering.”
