GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina A&T State University is evacuating several buildings and advising other students to take shelter after a report of a man with a rifle on campus.
An alert posted on the university’s home page and Twitter account shortly after 10 a.m. Monday advised of the campus-wide lockdown after the man was spotted in a campus building. According to a university spokeswoman and a string of Twitter messages from the university’s account, campus police received a report of an armed gunman in the General Classroom Building. The advisory says police are sweeping and evacuating the building.
N.C. A&T is a historically black university with about 9,000 undergraduate students and a more than 700-acre campus east of downtown Greensboro.

I’m not sure why everyone’s so worked up over this. I mean, haven’t you been listening to the NRA? This is FREEDOM in its purest form. Yes, nothing truly reflects the best America has to offer quite like taking a loaded gun onto a college campus and waving it around. Just the way Washington, Adams and Jefferson imagined it.
And if a few kids get shot up. . . well, that’s just the price of freedom. Nothing to see here.
Wow, it took you two whole lines before you blamed the NRA. You need to work harder or Bloomberg will taken away your membership card.
Bloomberg? Taken away? Is the brain falling apart again? Time to get back on those meds, eagle-troll.
The news is just full of the good gun ownership is doing. Women being shot in the buttocks by their husbands manly handguns and students being stalked by others with firearms. It’s all good, right?
