Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said Sunday that House Democrats will “never” get access to President Donald Trump’s tax returns.
“Oh no, never. Nor should they,” Mulvaney said during an interview on “Fox News Sunday.”
“They know they’re not going to get this, they just want the attention on the issue,” Mulvaney added.
But Democrats assert they do have the legal authority to see Trump’s taxes.
After requesting Trump’s documents from the IRS commissioner Wednesday, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal (D-MA) said in a statement that “I am certain we are within our legitimate legislative, legal and oversight rights.”

It’s the law, Mick. If the Chair wants the tax returns, he gets them.
Who will be this generation’s Daniel Ellsberg? Step up, please! Maybe do double duty and make the Mueller report available as well.
Mulvaney translates to ‘lickspittle’ in another language.
Well, at least he is upfront about the claim that the rule of law does not apply to the presidency.
Since the first article of impeachment against Nixon was that he “obstructed and impeded the administration of justice," I hope that the pivot to impeachment happens sooner rather than later.
Well that settles that !
