Defense giant Lockheed Martin took out a full-page color ad in the Washington Post today memorializing the late Rep. John Murtha (D-PA).
Murtha, who served as the chairman of the Defense Appropriations subcommittee, was known for securing earmarks for defense companies like Lockheed. Murtha died Monday at the age of 77.
The ad, which you can see here, lauds Murtha for his “towering leadership and tireless work on behalf of our armed forces.”
It also praises his work for diabetes and breast cancer awareness, as well as National Parks.
On the bottom, under the Lockheed Martin logo, is the tagline, “We never forget who we’re working for.”
