Corey Lewandowski, the former campaign manager for President Trump, argued he is not “a conspiracy theorist” while simultaneously suggesting that Justice Department is out to get Trump supporters.
“George Papadopooulos went to jail for lying to the FBI, but that’s not the same criteria when its a Clinton person or Andy McCabe,” Lewandowski said. “There are two separate sets of rules and I am not a conspiracy theorist but if you are a Trump supporter the FBI and the Department of Justice comes after you and if you are a Clinton supporter you get immunity.”
Lewandowksi — a regular, ardent Trump defender on cable news — suggested it was “unfair” that “volunteers” for the campaign like Papadopoulos and Carter Page have been targeted when “the only campaign that took money out of their campaign coffers and paid it to a foreign entity was the Clinton campaign.”
