December 18: President Barack Obama arrived at the the Copenhagen climate change summit for a flurry of diplomatic meetings. By the end of the day Friday, Obama and world leaders reportedly reached a deal on cutting global emissions. A U.S. official told the press that Obama left Copenhagen Friday afternoon after reaching “a meaningful agreement with China, India and South Africa.”
