President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani’s latest statement on the possibility of further Trump-Muller questioning, that it’s totally out of the question and definitely not going to happen, seems to be in direct contradiction with a statement he made just a day earlier.

According to a Daily Beast report, Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that negotiations between Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Trump’s legal team about further questioning are “still open.”

Giuliani said of the communication line: “it hasn’t been formally closed yet, and that the loop hasn’t been closed.”

But just one day later, Giuliani said in an interview with The Hill Thursday that Trump would, in no uncertain terms, never answer any more “outrageous” questions from Mueller.

It is unclear where the negotiations truly stand.
