Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) took to cable news Wednesday night seemingly with an audience of one, saying that if President Donald Trump “gives in” on his demand for border wall funding in order to end the government shutdown, “that’s probably the end of his presidency.”
“If he gives in now, that’s the end of 2019 in terms of him being an effective President, that’s probably the end of his presidency,” Graham told Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
Graham added later: “That’s the end of us, if we give in on this issue, as Republicans. I hope [Sen.-elect] Mitt Romney [R-UT] and everybody else knows, this is a fight worth having.”
