President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani discouraged voters from supporting Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), who is neck-and-neck in the polls with Republican opponent Missouri Attorney General Josh Hawley.

In the tweet, Giuliani is likely referencing McCaskill’s comments to Fox News in October when she distanced herself from “crazy Democrats,” like activists who confront Republicans in restaurants and elevators, she said.

Trump himself has targeted McCaskill — who is considered especially vulnerable in a state that voted overwhelmingly for Trump in 2016 — several times in recent weeks, and even staged two rallies in the state to bolster support for Hawley.
