HANNOVER, Germany (AP) — A stadium announcement says the Germany-Netherlands game in Hannover has been cancelled.

German media were reporting “concrete” information about a bomb threat led to the cancellation.
The soccer stadium in Hannover, Germany, is being evacuated and stadium loudspeakers say the game has been cancelled.
The stadium was hosting a match between Germany and the Netherlands. Many top German officials, including Chancellor Angela Merkel, were scheduled to attend the match to show they will not bow to terrorism.

Except, they will.
This seems to be a rather last-minute decision if people were arleady in the stadium and asked to evacuate. Perhaps the authorities had some tip-off or a break in security protocols over weapons searches, etc.
yeah, that was sad, eh?

Or it could have been a simple as a phoned bomb threat .
That’s the problem . Who would not err on the side of caution .It happens every day with abandoned laundry packages that are blown up by SWAT teams
