After taking Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) down a number of pegs last night, Jon Stewart then focused his attention on the finer semantic points — or lack thereof — of Sarah Palin’s Twitter feed, especially her tweet calling the latest WikiLeaks release a “treasonous act.”

Stewart pointed out that a close reading of Palin’s tweet (embedded below) reveals an uncomfortable piece of illogic: Wikileaks is located in Sweden and the site’s founder, Julian Assange, is Australian.
“Really, you can’t charge them with treason against America, because they’re not … American,” Stewart said.
