Former DNC chairman Howard Dean slammed Republicans on Meet the Press Sunday, saying they had decided to “put their party in front of their country.” Dean also said the “Republicans’ behavior has been reprehensible.”
Dean, who clashed publicly with Democrats after calling for the Senate health care reform bill to be scrapped, accused Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) of “twisting his words around” to support the GOP’s policy of obstruction. “They haven’t lifted a finger,” Dean said.
