Former Trump communications staffer Cliff Sims pilloried White House counselor Kellyanne Conway in his recent White House exposé, accusing her of badmouthing the administration to reporters and of acting like a “cartoon villain brought to life.”

According to an excerpt Sims published in Vanity Fair, Conway is Machiavellian and happy to berate reporters on TV and then leak to them offscreen.

“It became hard to look long at her without getting the sense that she was a cartoon villain brought to life,” Sims wrote. “Her agenda—which was her survival over all others, including the president—became more and more transparent.”

He tells of a time he was working on her laptop and saw many conversations with reporters pop up.

“As I sat there trying to type, she bashed Jared Kushner, Reince Priebus, Steve Bannon, and Sean Spicer, all by name,” Sims said.
