The comedian who got some flack for roasting White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ eyeshadow at the White House Correspondents Dinner last year, joked that President Trump probably isn’t going to the gathering again this year because he doesn’t “have a big enough spine to attend,” Variety reported.

“He’s probably just really busy. You know, he’s got to golf. And honestly I don’t know if anyone really wants to watch him eat, so I think it’s for the best,” Michelle Wolf told Variety. “You got to love someone that just can’t handle being made fun of. … I think he doesn’t have a big enough spine to attend. If a president can’t take someone making fun of them, I don’t really care about them.”

Trump told reporters on Friday that he doesn’t plan to attend the event again this year because it is “boring” and “too negative.”

Reminds me of Don Fanucci claiming that the puppet show during the street festival is too violent for him.

  2. Did not know Trump had a spine.
Even his German born daddy could not buy him one.

  3. Undoubtedly, he’s afraid. To a flaming narcissist such as he is, being made fun of is the worst possible thing that could happen. Look at what Obama set off at the WHCD in 11.

  4. “Roasted”? My ass! Gimme a break! She made fun of her fucking eye shadow, and Maggie H of the NYT and Chris Cillizza of CNN had a hissy because - heaven forbid! - a craven fucking liar for Trump was made fun of.

You want to see SHS REALLY get roasted? Invite a few of the commenters here on TPM (Ira, Tena, and Eustace immediately come to mind) to stand at the podium at the WHCD and hurl a few nuclear barbs at the Arkansas Unibrow. SHS would end up looking like a suckling pig at a Hawaiian luau… But she won’t have an apple in her mouth. Take a wild guess on where we shove it.
