Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) said Tuesday that she is “not prepared” to endorse President Donald Trump for reelection 2020, and that she’ll see what happens between now and then.
“I’m really focused on my own campaign for 2020, and I really haven’t focused on the presidential campaign,” she told PBS’ Judy Woodruff, referring to her upcoming reelection fight. “So, I’m not prepared at this point to make that decision.”
“I’m going to have to see what happens between now and then and look at what his record is,” she continued. “I can’t imagine that I would endorse any of the Democrats who are running right now, but I’m going to focus on 2020 in 2020.”
On supporting a Republican primary challenger, she added that she is neither “ruling it in or ruling it out.”

And, as usual, she will do so in due time. As Harry Reid wisely observed, we can always count on Collins when she isn’t needed.
OK Suzie…do you really expect Mainers will think you to actually BE independent as opposed to PRETENDING to be, but then, after everyone is looking at you, folding like a house of cards?
By the way, how did that vote on Health Care Mitch promised for your Tax Cut vote work our for you?
Pack you bags, we’re gonna send you packing next year.
And yet still prepared to vote for his nominees!
She’ll come around
Wow, real profile in courage, there, Sen. Collins.
