With so many promising Republican presidential candidates, how is Stephen Colbert to decide who to vote for?
“It’s like going to the kennel and wanting to bring home all the puppies before Governor Perry has them put down,” Colbert said. But he’s got a special soft spot for one underdog candidate.
“I’m the only pundit willing to admit to having an incurable case of Ron Paul-sy,” Colbert said. And lucky for Paul, a certain heartland conservative recently gave him his endorsement. One drunk Ron Paul fan was recently pulled over for allegedly driving under the influence, giving a glowing — albeit slurred — defense of libertarian values.
“Ron Paul has locked up the coveted shit-faced vote,” Colbert said. “This could be huge for him, if these guys drive to the polls on election day … provided they don’t first plow into a farmer’s market.”
