Michael Cohen had choice words for President Donald Trump after his former client hit back at reports this week of Cohen asking for a pardon through a representative last year — contradicting the former Trump fixer’s own testimony.

“Just another set of lies by @POTUS,” Cohen tweeted Friday morning with a nod to #InternationalWomensDay.

Minutes before Cohen’s tweet, Trump said that Cohen “lied,” given that he “directly” asked for a pardon the President denied and that Cohen “badly wanted to work at the White House.”

Cohen’s latest jab at Trump comes fresh off of his lawsuit against the Trump Organization in New York state court Thursday, demanding that the President’s companies pay his legal fees for the Mueller probe and other investigations.

  1. I’m no lawyer, but I think Cohen would be better off if he kept his mouth shut and his thumbs off Twitter.

I know he was a bad ass nasty actor when working for Trump. And I know that engaging the pres. on twitter like this is probably a really dumb thing for him to do. Yet, dang if he isn’t growing on me a wee bit in terms of inklings of appreciation.

  4. I believe this conman and thug over POTUS. Think about that. Depressing.

  5. Khyber spelled out a detailed chronology of Cohen’s steps to turning and cooperating. It was all very careful and attorney-driven…as is most (if not all) of what he says in public.

I will say this, Cohen saying ANYTHING (to anyone) is going to have to be cleared with some people with sharp legal minds (including Mueller’s).
