Perhaps taking after the Commander in Chief, Housing and Urban Development Director Ben Carson hews to a lax schedule for his day-to-day operations, taking frequent midday Friday trips to his property in Florida and only huddling with his senior staff once a week.

According to an NBC News report, the schedules, obtained through a watchdog lawsuit, show that Carson usually flew commercial to his Florida mansion on his own dime.

His first appointments in the office began at 9 or 10 A.M., though his staff insisted to NBC that he arrives at 7:30 A.M.

His holey schedule reflects his seeming lack of urgency to achieve his HUD goals, as his signature program, social services hubs called EnVision, has yet to begin despite an official launch last summer.

As part of President Donald Trump’s budget, Carson has also requested an 18 percent cut of his own agency, tripling rent on public housing units and cutting funding from desperately needed public housing repairs.

Any more than that and he might get a clue as to what goes on at the agency he purportedly leads.

    “Goals”

    Heh

    That’s a good one.

  3. They could save a lot of money and prevent a lot of stupid decisions by replacing him with a dressing store dummy and I doubt anyone would notice.

  4. I think the goal for HUD these days is to have no goals. You’re poor? Tough. Don’t have a job? Find one. Doesn’t pay the rent? Work two. Can’t afford health insurance? Then die and decrease the surplus population of people like yourself who vote wrong.

Seriously I wish I had a dollar for every guy who sat at the country club bar and told some buddy he worked hard all his life for what he’s got, so why in the hell should he pay for a doctor for someone who’s going to vote to take all that away. I know they say that.

  5. This dude has some kind of early onset health issue that caused him to have to quit being a surgeon very early. Any Dr. that’s good keeps being a Dr. way past normal retirement age. And not for the money, but because they help people. This guy quit way before retirement age because something is wrong with him or his abilities.
